RE: Day 4 - Advent Calendar 2023, Win prize everyday! πŸŽ„πŸŽ

in Ecency β€’ last year

Yes, I make resolutions but don't complete them. I get so pumped on January 1st, making my nice little list of big changes and goals. Finally gonna do all those positive things – wake up early, eat healthy, be more chill. The usual stuff we all promise ourselves.

But uh... by end of month that list already tossed in trash. Sleeping in wins over my 6 AM runs. Fast food too tempting after long workdays. And calm? Please, with my crazy job! Same old habits come February even when I swear THIS year will be different.

I realized something - it’s okay! Life happens whether we meet resolutions or not. Instead of harsh judgments, we should give ourselves props for even trying to grow in first place. We can only do our best today then try again next time goals slip.

So I won’t stop making some optimistic resolutions when New Year comes. But I’ll try being easier on myself too when plans sometimes crash.

Lol πŸ˜‚ I was once like that, but since I became a mother I always complete my resolution because they are mostly for my children.

Yeah, I can relate...There are things we just have to do to make our kids happy.
