RE: Your Crypto Plans For 2025 .:. Hive Humpday Hangout Ep.37 (Wednesday, January 29th, 5 PM UTC)

I think when it comes to Hive, there's really no definitive reason why people are here. Most people come for something and leave for that same reason or they come for something else and stay for something else entirely. Some people are passionate about gaming and along the line, the money isn't there anymore and the passion dies. Sometimes time and development changes people here

Oh, that's for sure! I remember how I changed my focus many times here on HIVE... Began with Splinterlands and other games that we had back in the day, and moved into aff. marketing community (failed 😃), and after that launched its own project, this show, and dived even deeper into HIVE...

Not sure that I have a clear reason WHY am here... 😃

Btw. I noticed that you gave a diplomatic answer avoiding sharing your reason... 😜

I came in hoping to make some bucks, but now I don't know anymore. Although I made friends along the way, but I don't have those friends anymore, I guess right now, I'm just following the tide and blending in with whatever change that comes.

Oh... So the people who are engaging with you on the chain aren't your friends? 😜 I thought that those that stay with us are our real friends... 😛

Just kidding... I know what you meant... I remember some great people who are not anymore here, but they were great folks!

Well, you know, when it comes to Hive, nothing is permanent. Situations change and things things aren't what they use to be. True, people who stay with us are our friends, but then they can suddenly not be our friends anymore when their goals and yours no longer aligns.

I suppose that's the "curse" of HIVE... People tend to connect interactions with monetary value... Having physical contact on meetups helps with that as it does bring the friendship to another level...

Well yeah. I got a lot of discord messages and most times it's folks who wants to get upvotes on their posts. No real connection, nothing else except how to make it big. No small talks no fundamental connection. So it's hard to call folks like these "friends"
I got one text inviting me to a meetup and when I told them I couldn't attend because of my health condition, they simply stopped talking to me and haven't talked with me because of that decline.

I understand... Those things happen in "real life", too... Had a similar experience with some old (offline) friends...
Luckily, by interacting with others, we can make new friends... I suppose that's normal and part of life...
