The future of online classes and students
Written by Mazhar hussain
Since last year, a deadly disease like corona has made life difficult for all human beings in the world. While Corona caused a series of lockdowns in various countries, online classes were held to continue educational activities. This is a great step for students to continue their education, but in a country like Pakistan where technology is not so popular, online classes are nothing but a waste of time. Students and teachers face different problems.
While teachers find it difficult to articulate their position to students, students do not understand their subject properly. Sometimes students face signal problems, sometimes teachers. Some students engage in various pursuits instead of taking classes seriously, while some teachers are unable to take classes due to their personal commitments. Who is being harmed in all this? Only for students. If you think about it, in Pakistan where even an MBA gold medalist does not have a job and has to make a living just because he does not have experience, then what is online? Will jobs be available to students studying through classes? The question does not arise. Obviously, when students have not taken classes seriously, how can they know anything about their field? You can ask any student taking online classes about his field. Be assured that 80% of the students will not get the answer because the same students will be uninterested. I am also amazed at the government that our officials are knowingly putting the future of the students at stake. Don't they know that technology is not so popular in Pakistan? Don't they know how big the problem of unemployment is in Pakistan? Then why are they promoting online classes.
I am also amazed at the students who only use social media platforms like Tik Tak, Facebook etc. and support online classes to spend their free time. Don't they see their future in the dark? Don't they realize how much they are hurting themselves? It is better for such students to be serious in time than to cry in the future and curse the government. Focus on your education, not for yourself, but for your parents, for your beloved homeland, but be serious. Furthermore, stop making fun of Corona and follow the SOPs so that the government can consider opening educational institutions. And the government is urged to adopt a strategy to open educational institutions instead of ruining the future of students from online classes.
Please announce online campus classes instead of online classes otherwise the future of students will be ruined. You can also call students in double shifts. This will ensure the implementation of SOPs as well as the future of the students. There are many other ways to start on-campus classes. But that is where the path comes from. Nothing will happen unless our officials and students consider this issue sincerely and come up with a plan for the future. May Allah protect us all from this insidious epidemic and grant prosperity to our dear homeland twice a day and twice a night. Amen.
Hope policy maker will pay heed on this....
