First, I'd like to apologize to all people named Karen or Caren.
I don't really know how the term "Karen" evolved as referring to people who seemed entitled or easily triggered, or those people make a mountain out of a molehill. I never actually witnessed in person a scene where a Karen go full burst. All I've seen where social media vids.
I know a Karen or two and let me tell you they are sweet and beautiful people.
So in behalf of all humankind, I apologize to you to have your sweet named generalized as entitled or people who tend to go into histrionics.
However, I think a Noemi is really the bad one. Sorry to all Noemis but so far all the Noemis I've come across are annoying. I had one collegue before, not me personally she targetted but she just had that diva attitude and most people just avoided her. Then there's a Noemi that downvoted me for a fictional short story video I made.
I think I know why. It's in the name itself. They say a name is a power onto itself because it's some sort of mantra. That's why nicknames monikers stick because that label kind of associates with the individual laveled as such.
Bullies when they call somebody repeatedly, like "Hey fatso" and the person called seemed round, then in a few months that person is now referred as fatso.
But back to names, when our parents gave us names they have generally like an idea of like oh I will name this kid Michael for him to grow strong and upright like Archangel Michael. Or like my wife was named Maureen because her parents were watching Miss Universe back then and they felt the candidate named Maureen was the prettiest. Many reason but it all points to a certain degree what the parents think we want to embody when we grow up is more or less what we'll be named.
Generally, when people keep calling us by our names, it becomes a mantra because every time our name is called that word is directed to our person, and for every day all our friends call us, a sort of prayer or mantra is thrown at us whether we like it or not.
Now please don't name your kids a Noemi. You know why? Because it sounds annoying. I'm not kidding.
A Noemi sounds like "annoy me."
A Noe mi
A noy me
Annoy me
Imagine that all through her life she will bear the mantra of an annoying person.
A Rudy is a bad idea too. Though i don't know an actual Rudy but the sound rude is there, so no surprise if that boy grows up being rude.
Ps. If youre a Noemi reading this, you can just downvote me. What can I do if you want to a noemi.
