FAREWELL TO MY BROTHER SENIOR APOOSTLE JOSIAH UJU A MAN OF DEEP FAITH, HONOUR, DIGNITY AND INTEGRITY.
It is well.
The moon has descended, casting down shadows of memories, memories of a
coindlality memories of an Icon with a great magnetic personalty, memories of an honourable father and brother.
With great difficulty of mind and with tears in my eyes, I sat down to think of this dreadful event: death that had visited us with its bitter claws.
Death is a sneaky serpent that steals in from the back door while remain at the corridor lost in the bustles and hustles of life. My brother you were longer than life.
You were the glory of God, fully human and fully alive. Living and cherishing every moment of your life, resonating joy to all and sundry.
Let me digress a little bit to history; when we were growing up under the tutelage of my beloved
mother, senior mother in Israel Mrs Angelina chinelo Eneanya and my late father supervising apostle Charles Udeize Eneanya of blessed memory. Hardly did I and my siblings know that we were not from
the same womb. We ate together in the same plate, fetched water together, ran errands together, moved about together. We grew up with the mindset of principles and righteousness taught to us by our parents and the eternal sacred order of Cherubim and Seraphim.
Mama anyi as Josiah called her with us, told us after we were all grown that she met Josiah at eternal sacred order of cherubim and seraphim and Nsugbe branch when he was living with his elder sister Janet; helping her in taking care of her children.
At the church church then Josiah would gather all the uneducated women together and was teaching them how to pray and read the Psalms (Abu Oma) Mama anyi till date reads so many psalms in the Bible without locating where they are courtesy of Josiah. mama prays from 12:00 midnight to 3p.m.
everyday till date. According to my mama Anyi after each teaching by Josiah he would follow us home helping us carry her younger ones Afulanu, Anayo, aand Chinelo. We would eat, play together before he goes back home to his sister Janet. This happened for years until Mama Anyi asked him one day if he would like to do a job since he completed primary six. Then Josiah agreed and after discussion with his elder sister Janet, mama sent message to Papa Anyi at Nsukka who advised her to put Josiah in the vehicle that he would pick him from the park. That was how Josiah got to Nsukka and Papa and anyi helped him with a job at UNN as a labourer. He then started furthering his studies with his little savings. We all went to nsukka and were living with Josiah as our elder brother. He later went to his Village to bring his younger sister Grace after discussion with our parents. When Grace came to nsukka we also lived as sisters and brothers until a time when Josiah was able to pay for an accommodation.
Aa Jessy nwanna it is really sad that mama could not speak to you when you wee sick, all her efforts to hear your voice proved abortive and she wept. However, Josiah you are indelible in our lives mySiblings and Mama Anyi and you will forever remain green.
You were very honest, straightforward and prayerful.
You touched many lives positively, you led many to Christ. You were more than a brother from another mother, you ran a good race, died peacefully and quietly like a saint and there's no ques where you are going- it's heaven of course. That's where you belong.
YOU have left a good legacy in your wife, children, the entire order of Cherubim and seraphim and the world in general.
Rest in peace and my the light perpetually shine upon you. Amen
Adieu Josiah.
Adieu my brother
Adieu Josiah
Adicu Aá Jessy nwa nna.
