The show is back! On Wednesday, we had another great show in the Ecency Discord, and this time we were discussing about different ways to buy and sell HIVE... As not all exchanges and tools are available in every country, it is important to share information with other Hivians and help them... That was exactly the point of this show and I think that we did a great job... You have a recording of the show inside the post and don't forget to check it out!

The show was divided into 3 parts (or it was 4 parts in the end? 🤔) and we went through a lot of things... I will share in this "video description" just mentioned exchanges and tools, but I would strongly suggest you check out the video to hear more about them and the experiences that other participants shared!
In the part where we were talking about buying/selling crypto with fiat, we mentioned 4 big centralized changes (CEX-es)
When we were talking about them, @palomap3 jumped on the mic and shared her experience with Binance, mentioning crypto taxes which led to the next part where we discussed about prepaid crypto cards... They are similar to classic debit cards but more limited... Speaking of them, we mentioned just a couple of the most popular like:
The next part of the show was a talk about exchanges that we have here on HIVE, swapping between HIVE to/from HBD, and using the conversion option too... One of the great tools that we have for that is https://hivedex.io/ where you can create buy/sell orders at certain prices... Similar to spot trading on centralized exchanges...
All that led to the final part where we were talking about Hive-Engine and using it for bringing different cryptos to HIVE or exchanging HIVE for other crypto... We mentioned 3 most popular websites where you can do exchanges:
At the very end of the show, @mypathtofire came on the mic and shared his experience with @v4vapp service which is another great tool that you can use to spend your earned HIVE... Also, we mentioned crypto gift cards, but I didn't find the link during the show, so here it is https://www.bitrefill.com/us/en/. You can change to your country at the top of the page and see if you can use them in your country... Combining @v4vapp with these cards can help you with spending your HIVE...

I hope Hive can get on other big exchanges too in the future. It's amazing that Hive is already available on Binance, but as an European it doesn't give me enough freedom. Best big exchange I could imagine Hive on would be Kraken Exchange.
A lot of tokens are staked on HIVE and not too much left for exchanges and price speculators... As exchanges need trading volume to earn on fees, HIVE isn't that interesting, but we will see what will happen in the next few months... I saw many big accounts powering down, which means a lot more price action soon...
On the one hand, unfortunately, due to the price drop, on the other hand, good because I bought more, the order I placed on hivedex went through. A small amount, but I'm counting on success 🙂 Thanks for sharing the information on HHHlive.

I kept saying I'd get onto MEXC before they added KYC to that one too. But haven't done it yet...
Good show, useful information, for Hive, where on-ramps and off-ramps can be a problem.
MEXC did add KYC, but it is still possible to do things but with a daily limit of 10 BTC... I don't know about you, but that's enough for me... 😃
Well... That's how it started with Binance and their 2 BTC limit... I'd be ok even with a 1 BTC limit, but I doubt they'll be able to resist without KYC-ing everything.
Yeah, agree... IT will be like that in the end... Until then, I will use it... when that happens, will find another one... 🙂
Since you probably use both, what's your favorite off-ramp method between MEXC and crypto.com (via its card)?
I'm using crypto.com for spending my crypto earnings in everyday usage (food, etc) and I'm using MEXC when I have to exchange tokens from one to another and I don't have a DEX solution... Tbh, I'm using MEXC rarely... maybe 2-3x per month...
In most cases, I'm using DEXes everywhere...

i dont like binanca cause it requires kyc to do anything, so better bitrefill for anonimous cahs out and avoid taxes problems

It's pretty interesting to see all the options. The prepaid card option sounds interesting for people who don't want all the KYC.
Prepaid cards do ask for KYC, but those "gift cards" don't which makes them a very nice option for people who are not comfortable being "exposed"... The only issue is that you are limited to places where you can spend your crypto...
