One of the highlights last year wasn't missing the HiveFest, but attending the #HiveBeeCon, which was a big Hive meetup held in Krakow, Poland! It was a consolation event for those who weren't able to get to Mexico... For me, it was the second big meetup that I had, and probably one of those that had the most impact on me for many different reasons...

One of the reasons for that was that it was fewer people than at HiveFest, and I could talk with almost everyone... And the other reason was that almost every single person that was there, "clicked" with me... I mean, I had a feeling that I was there with a family, but with the closest possible family! One of the people that I met there was @hallmann (Dawid Hallmann), the guy who stands behind The Kingdom Without Limit (Królestwo Bez Kresu), a Governor of the @krolestwo!
The HiveBeeCon itself didn't last too long, I think it was officially 1-2 days of activity, but luckily, we (my wife, our "adopted son" (just kidding... he knows who he is 😃), and I) didn't have a plane back when it finished, so we were "stuck" in Krakow for an additional few days... So, when everyone left, we went to explore the city, but somehow, at the end of every day, we would pay a visit to The Kingdom! Every time, we would meet @hallmann (and often other Hivians too) there and have long chats deep into the night!
There was something that would pull us there, something like when you go back from the city, or some trip, and your legs are moving back toward home, without even thinking about it... The place, the idea, the people that we met, the conversations, the atmosphere... All that is very hard to explain without visiting the place... You just have to visit it and experience it! But, I hope that @hallmann will be more successful in describing it in the show and have more words than me to do it...
If I understood well, The Kingdom Without Limit wasn't imagined as a meeting point for Hivians, but somehow, it was a perfect fit to be! With @hallmann's lead, it became one of the first places where the HBD was accepted as a payment method, where the big Hive meetings are held regularly... He isn't the only guy who does everything there, it is a community project/place, where people share duties...
I think that the #HiveBeeCon was an eye-opener for The Kingdom as many ideas came to the surface, including how to develop the project more, how to have a bigger impact, how to onboard and teach people about HIVE, etc. Dawid channeled that positive energy in the right direction, and presented the Kingdom at this year's HiveFest! A lot of things to write about in this announcement post, but I think that the best thing is to leave it to Dawid to tell them in the show! Of course, there will be a part of the show where you can ask questions, so don't be afraid to use it! I think the concept of the kingdom is great. I remembered there was a bookclub in that place or was it some other place in poland. It really was a long time ago 🤣 I swear I remembered trying to sponsor something esp during the early days of Hive book club then. Not sure if I've heard anything back.
I love the concept of Hive Bee Con! I hope one day we get to do one in Asia too as visa wise, anyone from EU won't need one.Hive fest was in Bkk a few years back. The problem is probably flights can be expensive down here 😃

I think the shop accepting HBD just made it a natural place for Hivians to be. It's a place that is accepting towards people like us. I have never been to any of the cons, but the timing just doesn't fit for me and I prefer to stay more or less anonymous. Maybe that will change in the future.
The Kingdom is more than a shop! I know that you are not able to attend the show, but you will have to check out the recordings for more details... We will try to cover that "magical place" as much as possible!
