The main buzzword on HIVE as the biggest obstacle is onboarding! There were dozens and dozens of online (and offline) meetings where Hivians were discussing onboarding, but still, we didn't solve that puzzle... But, there is a second thing which could be even more important than the first one... As you know, nobody cares about the second, and nobody checks the second page on Google... The same goes for how to retain those people who come to HIVE! Even when we onboard people, we have a problem with retention, as many leave faster than they got here...

As I mentioned in my last show's announcement, I suck at promoting HIVE to people OUTSIDE it, but I do like to communicate with those who just came, or want to grow on HIVE... That's one of the main purposes of @Liotes, the project that I started with @achim03, where we reward people who contribute to the chain, motivate them to grow their HivePower with our challenges, and interact with them to show them that everyone is important!
Apis Hive, with a mission of finding gems among new users and helping them to grow on the platform... The idea is simple... Create leaders who will continue "the line" and create new leaders, making the whole network stronger and bigger!Our guest in the next show, @LivingUKTaiwan has been doing a similar, "ground" job for many years on HIVE! She was a part of many curation projects, trying to highlight people who are dedicated to the chain, who contribute with quality posts, and who engage with other Hivians... With so much experience, she decided to launch a new project named
Apis Hive is an initiative designed to help small accounts (redfish) grow on Hive and support them on this journey. The target redfish are the genuine users who are active on Hive, produce original quality content and engage with the community. Most importantly, they have a long term vision to grow with Hive and are not here primarily for the rewards.

What will we talk about in the #HHHLive show? As this is @LivingUKTaiwan's first "special guesting" in the show, we will try to get into her head 😃, by knowing more about her activities on HIVE... When she joined, who were her first role models on HIVE, and how (and why) she decided to dive deeper into HIVE and take a "leap of action"?
As there are not many projects and initiatives that are working on the retention problem on HIVE, we will try to get as much as possible information about Apis Hive and how it can help an ordinary Hivian!
Apis HiveBefore doing the show, I usually like to research my guests, but as I know @LivingUKTaiwan from previous Hive meetups, there was no need for that... But, I didn't know about the initiative that she is building... To be more authentic, I have deliberately avoided learning more about it as I would like to be in the shoes of a newbie to the project... So, the general idea is that we will learn together about the in the next #HHHLive show! Can't wait for it!

I'm terrible at onboarding, one reason is that it's hard. Hive is a whole lot and you have to be different to actually stick around. However, I've been outside Hive and in other web3 spaces and honestly it's also tough out there, many exciting projects with prospects but a lot of people don't want to stick around either. I don't think it's our problem alone. However I think anyone who manages to do a decent onboarding job should be given the kudos
It's definitely not just a problem on HIVE... Even on Web2, it's a problem for those who want to make a living from it... You have an illusion that you are doing well, but whenever you reach a milestone, you have to push it over the limit... It's like with those "earning platforms" where you always chasing the minimum payout and when you reach it, they put the higher requirement...
Actually I have seen stuffs like this especially in my early hustle years. I think sometimes we get too comfortable in Hive and think we have the worst ecosystem, meanwhile it's literally the wild west out there.
People like easy sign ups, mail user password and that's it, already ecency asks for phone, some ask money, hiveonboard not but then you get 4 different keys and that generates big confusion already... Then as you say retention is not easy, after all like on Instagram you post a bikini picture, get 10k likes and done, here it's not that simple

Jokes aside, it's not that hard to do. The proof is that thousands of people joined this chain a few years ago when nobody knew what crypto was. It could only get easier, and we have more and better tools.

In fact, I am suck at it too as people are not willing to produce blog-style post and they are used to copy-paste contents on the famous, centralized social media.
Because of exactly that, I like HIVE... We have more "authentic" people here, and most of them that I met IRL are exactly the same as they "look" here on HIVE! No pretending, or trying to be something else...💜

That sounds like an interesting topic to talk about. I don't think I'll make it to the live show, but I'll watch the recording or summary when it comes out. I think that the goal is great as onboarding/retention is the largest issue in Hive.
