Moi moi is a Nigeria meal made out of steamed bean pudding , pepper , onions and spices.
Ingredients used in making moi moi:
- Beans
- Pepper
- Seasoning cubes
- Salt
- Cray fish
- Vegetable oil/palm oil
- Eggs
- Onions
- Water
Equipment used for the preparation:
- Moi moi containers(cups, tin , leaves )
- Pot
- Cooker
- Bowl
Step 1: soak the beans inside water in a bowl after 10minutes , peel the skin of the beans and rinse it thoroughly.
Step 2: blend the beans ( together with pepper and cray fish in order to have the cray fish flavour)
Step 3: boiled the eggs for 15 minutes ,after it is boiled. Removing the shell of the egg and keep the egg aside.
Step 4: mix the blended beans very well , add seasoning cubes,salt and the chopped onions.
Step 5: pour the mixture into the moi moi containers of your choice ,after that add the eggs inside it
Step 6: arrange the moi moi inside the pot and add water( some water , not that much ,it should be at least half of the container side.
Step 7: put the pot on fire , let it steam for 30 minutes on a gas cooker
Step 8: After that the moi moi is ready
It can be served with bread , pap, garri and rice, best served hot .
