Single parenting is the act of raising children without physical and financial support of the other parent ( whether the mother or the father) , these can be caused by divorce ,death , separation.
These do affect the children in most single homes, the lack either father or mother's love , one parent can't control the child's behave.
This might make the child engage in different social vices in the community.
Their parent also faces challenges like;
financial struggles to raise and provide for the needs and expense of the child. And the society will look down on the parent and also the child. They have to struggle to fulfil both the maternal and paternal roles in the child's life.The single parent gain support from the Non- governmental organizations , family and friend helps to support and render practical help , the government support the child financially and benefits.
Statistics have it that, 27.5% of children live with single parents
And some of the single parenting cases are caused by divorce.
