I posted an article on a visit to the market a few days ago. Then, I visited Bodija market at Ibadan but today, I visited Matogun market. Matogun is located in Ogun State, Nigeria. It is a small and local market. I didn't plan to go to the market but a friend told me to come along with her and at the end of the day, I ended up buying a few things that I didn't plan. I don't like to lament but it is obvious that things are extremely expensive so it will be crazy for me not to lament, lol. Well, I took a few pictures and I'd show you. Let's go!
This is how Matogun market looms like. Well, I didn't plan to take pictures so I could not take the full pictures of the market. Also, I don't have a drone that could capture it from up.
This is the second picture I took. There is something I usually love about markets. There will surely be where you can buy food or drinks. I saw so many people buying food from her and it scents nice. Well, I didn't buy but the foods were looking good from afar. That's how most street foods here are.
These are some garden eggs that I saw in the market. I wanted to buy some okro from the woman who sells them so the garden eggs caught my attention. I guess that's because I love small things so I can easily put a full one in my mouth. It also looks fresh. Who does not like fresh garden egg? No one, right?
I decided to buy Okro from the woman. If you look closely, the Okro has some big sizes and small ones. I love small Okros. I don't have any reason for this but if I'm to think well, it will be because I love small things so small Okro all the way.
I can tell a good yam just by peeling a little part of its body. My grandmother used to sell yams so there were times when I stayed with her at the market and I was able to learn how to different a good yam from the bad one. The ones here are good especially the two at the front. It is just annoying that the body is not very smooth. It is normal but some yams have a quite smooth body.
This is cow skin. I heard it has no nutrient but I'm not sure. Even though it does not have any nutrient, I still love it. I love to have it on my food. I mostly call it Ponmo. Well, that's the meaning of cow skin in my language.
Well, I may not do well by showing you all the things they have in that market. They also have the likes of pepper, onions, melon, fruits, foodstuffs like rice and all, groceries and so much more. I'm glad that I gave you an idea of the kind of things that you can buy in Matogun market.
This is the last picture for now. I'm in my living room chilling and raising my legs. I raise my legs when I'm bored, lol. I thought of sharing a picture of that with you all. Make sure you enjoy your weekend.
Such nice colourful clothing and different foods, thanks for sharing
