Right now in Hollywood we see that the number one performing movie at the box office is Captain America: Brave New World from a couple of weeks now. It has amassed about more than 342 million dollars at the worldwide box office.

I watched the movie yesterday and I really did not enjoy most of the movie as the movie had a lot of issues going on with it. People complained that they needed Steve Rogers back as Captain America, played previously by Chris Evans, and also some people suggested that Bucky should have transitioned into a better Captain America than Anthony Mackie.

Here are some memorable quotes from the movie:

  • President Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross played by Harisson Ford: "You may be Captain America, but you're not Steve Rogers."
  • Sam Wilson (Captain America) played by Anthony Mackie: "You're right. I'm not."
  • Samuel Sterns, played by Tim Blake Nelson: "Global power is shifting. You're just a pawn."
  • Sidewinder played by GianCario Esposito: "Captain America, caught without his wings."
  • President Ross: "I was a wartime general, now I'm a wartime president."

This movie starts pretty well with Harisson Ford playing as the United States of America president giving giving a speech about how the US is getting adamantium from across the world, and then suddenly a group of people start attacking him; however, he gets unharmed somehow.

Later on we find that this attack on the president was due to some mind control orchestrated by Samuel Sterns, played by Tim Blake Nelson, who has a certain condition with his brain getting too big and strong thanks to taking syrups from the incredible Hulk.

But it seems the president has a heart issue, and he is taking some medication provided to him by Samuel Sterns, which has somehow resolved his health concerns.

The movie is filled with political espionage and a war of sorts with Japan, which somehow is resolved by the heroics of Captain America.

But then the end scene comes, which is the best part of the whole movie because we see the U.S. president transform into the Red Hulk and all mayhem breaks loose.

  • The red hulk destroys the White House building in no time.
  • We see the red hulk destroying two powerful drones.
  • The red hulk jumps to enormous heights to catch up on the flying Captain America.
  • We see the red hulk attacking Captain America with cars and and smashing him with his fists, which gives the hero lots of issues.
  • The red hulk is somehow calmed down when Captain America tells him about his daughter, so this results in him shifting back into his human form.

I will give Captain America: Brave New World a solid 6 out of 10 and feel it is a good edition to the MCU and has a lot of interesting stuff going on with it.

What do you think about this movie? Have you watched it or are excited to watch it either in cinemas or when it is available to stream?
