Potato samosas are like saltish pastries that are crispy golden brown and have potato inside them, which you can enjoy with tomato ketchup, and the great thing about it is that they are 100 percent vegan. Lets check the ingredients:

  • Smashed boiled potatoes (Just 2 to 3 potatoes needed peeled)

  • Salt

  • Flour

  • Vegetable Oil

  • Little bit of water

  • Tomato Ketchup for serving

Just peel a couple of potatoes and chop them down into small pieces and put them to boil, and all you have to add to them is a bit of salt. Make sure that the potatoes go completely dry out the water and then try to smash them up so they are completely soft in nature.

Now you need to use flour to create a big dough. Once done, you need to make 4 to 8 smaller doughs and add some dry flour to them, and then start pressing each dough.

Put the smashed boiled potatoes in each dough and round them up in a rectangle shape, but make sure the edges are all pressed using water.

Now all you have to do is deep fry these saltish pastries into hot vegetable oil and try to get them as golden brown as possible, but also make sure they do not burn up.

Your potato samosas are ready to serve, so now you can enjoy them with your family at iftar time. You can enjoy your potato samosas with tomato ketchup or even some mint yogurt.

These potato samosas are hundred percent vegan in nature and are not only quite tasty but are also very healthy in nature.

Have you had potato samosas before? And if yes, did you add some onions and garlic to the potato recipe? Please let me know in the comments below.

This looks really yummy 🥹

Yes maybe you should try it at home.

Since we moved here to Dubai, Samosa has been one of my favorite snacks especially paired with hot sauce.

Yes, I think at Dubai Samosas are a commonly available food item everywhere.

True, and it tastes so good 😊

I like them, especially when they are cooked at home. Yesterday I think I ate round about 6 pieces.

Wow, that's a lot 😊 I just consumed 2 pcs and makes me full 🙃

Yes, maybe I took them at Iftar; that is why the amount was so high.
