The On-Page-SEO-Essentials For Your Blog Posts

You would need free keyword research tools like google keyword planner, ubersuggest or semrush free version.
Focus on long tail keywords that has lower competition.
Your titles and headings should have clarity and you must make sure to categorize your subheadings using the H2/H3 headings.
You must rename your images before uploading them and also remember to provide citations below the images that you are using for example you uploaded an image from pexels so you must add this information in the citation.
You must format your content with small paragraphs and use bullet points/lists to break up text.

Index Your Website In The Important Search Engines

Sign up for google search console and setup indexing your website by following simple steps.
Sign up for bing webmaster tools and setup indexing your website and make sure if you are getting errors in indexing on bing then contact your webhosting provider to help you out in fixing those issues.

Track Your SEO Performance

You must add wordpress plugin like "Google Site Kit" to your website and add Google Analytics G4 property to it so you can track your views and performance of your website. These Analytics will show you the following important metrics:

Bounce rates
Number of views
Demographics of viewers
Traffic sources
Devices used to check your website
Geographic locations from where viewers are coming from
Many other important metrics
