We all have had great fun eating red beans either with a spoon or even with naan, which usually people take in Asian countries. Some people even have fun taking red beans with rice as well. The dish I am going to talk about today is called "Korkho Peti" in pashto language but since I could not find an appropriate name for it anywhere in english language I am going to call it "Crushed Red Beans Naan".
Let's discuss how we can cook it:
- Boiled and cooked red beans
- 3 to 4 naan breads
- Onions sliced
- Salt
- Pepper
So basically what you need to do is put the cooked red beans that you got in a blender so they are fully crushed, and make sure you add water to it as well so the blender has ease to crush all the red beans successfully.
Now you break the naan bread into small chunks and put them in a bowl while also adding the crushed red beans from the blender. Now add some salt and pepper to it and also add ceramilized fried onions to it and put the lid on top of it. Now the dish will have a smokey flavor to it because of the fried ceramilzed onions, and now after 3 to 4 minutes of cooking it under medium heat, your dish is prepared.
This dish can be eaten with a silver spoon, and the best thing about it is that it is 100 percent vegan. So there is no chicken or beef added to it. It resembles the Sohbat Painda dish, but that one has either chicken or beef added to it. This dish does not contain any non-vegetarian food items.
You must try out this recipe, as it is simple to cook, and let me know how it tastes in the comments below.
