I might save my boosts until the new year when hopefully Hive will be worth more.

I think they also have a 24 hour window to do boosts. If you request a boost outside of this window, or they don't see it in time, you get a refund.
Thanks for this, I didn't know. I thought it was an automatic process originally. I'll save my points.
