Take These 6 Steps To Have a BULLETPROOF Brand Strategy

Here is some ADVICE/TIPS/ CONTENT on Brand Strategy that I want to share with you.

I have 12 years of graphic design experience, been running a design company @RealDesignSpirit for the past 10 years where I'm the CEO which is now a Branding Agency. Through the years of experience, studying, and investing in courses, books, software, and money, I transformed from doing just graphic design to being a Brand Identity designer for the past 5 years and now also offering Branding. The reason for this? I want to offer my clients and future clients the whole package.

A BULLETPROOF brand strategy can only be achieved when you dive deep into the checkpoints and skillfully combine it all into a comprehensive package.

Follow this Checklist and have it all checked off and I can assure you, you'll succeed!

Step 1; PREPARATION ( What to check off)

  • Your brand story
  • Where you are stuck
  • Why you've started in the first place
  • Where you want to be in 1 year, and the next 5
  • What do you want people to think when they hear your name or brand name

Step 2; POSITIONING (P) & ANALYSING (A) (What to check off)
(P):

  • A Plan of your marketing position (doesn't have to be detailed)
  • A rough idea of the brands that inspire you and MAKE SURE to write it down
  • A checklist of everything you WANT to be and everything you DON'T want to be
  • A list of Direct - and INdirect competitors
  • An outline of the colors and words they own
    (A):
  • An outline of your INdirect -and direct competitors' advantages
  • The advantages of YOUR brand
  • An outline of the gaps that exist in your marketplace and who your competitors are targeting
  • Distinguish who you're targeting
  • Your brand niche position
  • How you will position yourself differently

Step 3; MESSAGING (what to check off)

  • 5 questions
    A. What is it that your company believes in?
    B. What's your primary internal culture?
    C. What are the words that describe your audience?
    D. What's your voice?
    E. WHat and how do you want them to feel?
    *When you've answered these questions, write a list of the brand adjectives
  • Descriptions of each adjective because they'll become your Core Values

Step 4; TARGETING (What to check off)

  • Target Audiences for your primary,- secondary - and tertiary target consumers
  • Write down each their demographics and psychographics
  • Wite down their challenges and
  • How you will solve it

Step 5; STRATEGY ( What to check off)

  • Places your brand will be seen
  • Primary touchpoints
  • Your brand's personality
  • Mission statement (The what)
  • Future statement (Your goals)
  • Trueline statement ( what people think)
  • Tagline (Who we are for)

Step 6; DESIGN (What to check off)

  • A brand name that is suitable for your position
  • A brand logo that is suitable for your voice
  • Colours that fit your core feeling
  • Your WHY & STORY ( Copywrite)
  • Supporting design elements
  • Brands iconography
  • Typography that fits your voice
  • Comprehensive brand guide
