Shortly after I joined Hive in 2017, I discovered the ecency dapp, ever since, it has been my favorite frontend on the hive Blockchain. I have witnessed their upgrades throughout the years, and each upgrade has added a unique feature that makes it more friendly to its users. The recent features added makes one curious of what the next upgrade might be. Before now, the unavailability of hive engine tokens was a concern, but not anymore, I can easily manage my hive engine tokens from the ecency app, and also the swap feature is just another feature I enjoy. It's easy and fast, within a few seconds, one can swap his token with no worry of delay.
I can talk on and on about each feature the ecency dapp has that distinguishes it from many and this has captured my love for it. The notification not only gives notice of votes and replies but also about hive engine tokens sent into a user's wallet.
Now about the feature I use most
I've used virtually all the features including the change of currency to one's local currency. But I noticed I've used the boost feature most among others. I've boosted my posts, that of newbies, that of my friends, and strangers that I come across on the platform. I know how discouraging it can be to put in effort with little or no reward, so the feature has not only helped users but the Blockchain at large in encouraging newbies and people who get little recognition.
Suggestion for an additional feature
The ecency team had been doing a great job and I recommend them for their effort. However, I noticed the option to un-reblog a post isn't there. Sometimes there's a need to un-reblog, especially when we realize a wrong post was reblogged. I hope it will be considered in the future.
The ecency proposal
I've read through the proposal and I find each of them useful for the growth of both the ecency frontend and hive Blockchain as a whole. Initiating ecency lite and short reels might just be another breakthrough to the hive platform. It could give room to lovers of short videos and people who enjoy making short posts.
