LAITY WEEK - UPHOLDING AND PROMOTING THE LITURGY AMONG CATHOLICS.

in Ecencylast month

In the church, apart from the orders, which are the Reverend Fathers, Sisters, and Brothers. We others are the lay faithful in the church. As they have their own duties, likewise we all have ours, which we are meant to carry out as children of God. A week was now brought out as the laity week with a topic that would be taught: UPHOLDING AND PROMOTING THE LITURGY AMONG CATHOLICS.

Image is Mine

The liturgy is very important and should be carried out in a very strong way; it should be upheld among us Catholics.

DAY 1

Message of the National President, Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria (CLCN).

The day was a grand opening and a talk from the president.

DAY 2

Power of Prayer , Faith, and Community Participation in the Midst of Crises.

On the first day we were being reminded of the great power of prayer in everything we are doing in life, telling us how we can overcome crises when we pray and the great power in communal prayers.

FAITH

Faith is the outward sign of inward grace. It is a supernatural Grace that makes us trust in God.

Faith is not a risk. It is like a man who has given Thanksgiving even when his problems are not all solved. Faith in God is certain. Faith with prayer would yield greatly.

Faith facilitates the human experience of divine nature.

By faith and prayer, you can overcome various crimes.

The community who had a contest included the statutory bodies in the Church like the Catholic Men's organization, Catholic Women's organization, Catholic Youth organization of Nigeria, Catholic Graduates, and Nigeria Federation of Catholic Students; pious and service groups like Divine Mercy, Aktar Knight, Altar Decorators, St. Anthony of Padua, Sacred Heart of Jesus, Queen of All Hearts, and others.

Community is very important, and each person is expected to belong to one.

DAY 3

Human vulnerability and the sacrament of reconciliation: upholding our human dignity

In the day we are reminded about the prayer of confession and bring in a good relationship with the Lord.

DAY 4

Private Ministries in the Catholic Church: A Threat to Unity??

In this day we learned if the private ministries still under the umbrella of the church are a threat or not to the church.

DAY 5

Challenges of the LAITY as Co-Missionaries of Evangelization

LAITY are those who are not in order like priests, reverend sisters, and brothers.

John Paul II defined evangelization as joyfully spreading the gospel of God.

The challenges include

Marriage

Limited understanding of their roles as the clergy.
