Foreword
Good day everyone! With the blink of an eye, the first month of 2025 just passed us by so quickly. And this is especially fast because I was also busy preparing for the Lunar New Year and while the 15 days of the Lunar New Year is still ongoing, I would like to wish everyone a blessed Lunar New Year and may you be blessed with more health and wealth in the Year of the Snake.
2025 Goal Progress Check
Primary Goal: Reaching 18k HP by 31st December 2025
Secondary Goal: Stretch primary goal and push towards 20k HP by 31st December 2025

While I still have a long runway before the year end, it is important to keep watch on the performance and ensure things are relatively on track and not go into a panic mode when the year comes to a close during the later half of the year.
Current assessment is that I am a little slow in terms of HP growth at this stage of the year and definitely need some stepping up. They is always still to continue doing what I have been doing like how I did last year when I was able to hit both my primary and secondary goals. In the next section I will continue to review the enablers towards hitting the goal.
Enablers for Goal
There are a couple of things that have worked well for me in 2024 and I know these are key enablers for my goal in 2025. Let's go through them 1 by 1.
Blogging on Hive Blockchain
Blogging on hive blockchain and sharing good content will get picked up by curators which is a very good source for growing HP. As shared in my Hive Power Up Day post, I've gained 585 HP in the month of January which was a drop as compared to December last year. Time to recalibrate and continue working on sharing good post to the community.
Layer 2 Token Management
While we blog and post, it is not just hive that we gained, with the correct use of tags based on their rules and such, we also gain a layer 2 coins as well. For these coins that we gain, you can either stake them or repurpose them to other tokens. I stake some and repurpose quite a fair bit of them to build up key tokens that give me passive hive or swap.hive which I will list them down below.
Liquid Hive Sources:
Holding EDSI (previously EDS) tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.108 HIVE per week.
Holding DAB tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.008 HIVE per day.
Holding SIM tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.019 HIVE per day.
Holding BRO tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.039 HIVE per week.
This totals up to 0.336 HIVE per week a slight drop HIVE per week from previous record. The reason this is the volatility of the pricing which caused a drop in the Hive Income coming from dCity. However, with me continuing building up my SIM through playing dCity, I am certain I will be able to gather more to improve my liquid hive accumulation.
SWAP.HIVE Sources:
Holding BBH tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.0057 SWAP.HIVE per week.
A very significant drop in view of DRIP no longer gives SWAP.HIVE but instead giving SPS and this will mean I will need find alternatives for SWAP.HIVE icrease.
dCity.
The game that which is instrumental in SIM accumulation. And SIM is one of my key passive Hive gainers. By actively improving my city income, there will be daily drips of liquid Hive into my wallet. It is easy to pick up and has low barrier to entry. I will definitely continue to maintain the city proper and find opportunities to pick up building/citizen cards from the market to bolster my SIM accumuation.

Rollercoin
While I am still playing the game when I am either commuting or before meals, this is last resort to be used should I fail to hit 18/20k end of the year. On Rollercoin for me, I have set it to accumulate LTC and as long as I consistently play for a couple of minutes, it will be more substantial at the end of the year.
Closing
With one month passing us by so quickly, there is no time to lose and time to work on the goals I've set for this year. While the goals are definitely not easy to fulfil, the mentality of saving and accumulating is an important trait and discipline to develop as we continue building our asset on the blockchain.
