Hola comunidad Ecency, me gusta de alguna u otra forma dar a
conocer mis puntos de vistas, sobretodo en lo relacionado a nuestra vida en la sociedad, es por eso que les comparto unas líneas de cómo percibo ese tema de la felicidad o sensación de plenitud que llegamos a sentir en muchos momentos.
Muchas veces se cae en el error de creer que a otros les sale el sol y a nosotros solo nos toca oscuridad. Craso error cuando nos comparamos con el resto, cada quien tiene que vivir su proceso, su desarrollo. Caminar, correr, tropezarse, caerse y levantarse en tiempos diferentes. A veces mientras unos se están levantando otros están en un proceso de vuelo, no es culpa de nadie que no estemos sincronizados para vivir experiencias similares en un momento determinado.
Dejemos de envidiar, codiciar vidas y situaciones ajenas, miremos nuestro alrededor y solo agradezcamos cada uno de los caminos que nos toque transitar. Es imposible que la balanza de la felicidad se incline a favor de un color de piel, estatus social, grados de instrucción o por cualquier otra etiqueta que nos hayamos inventado. Las oportunidades aparecen cuando deben aparecer, solo nos queda aprender a esperarlas y tomarlas.
La intensidad o nivel de felicidad que podemos alcanzar, es exactamente igual para todos. Tampoco juzguemos el concepto de "Dicha" que tengan los demás, unos tocan esa cima de plenitud al estar en familia, otros al terminar un proyecto laboral, académico y quizá otro grupo al hacerse acreedor de un bien material. Solo el tiempo les irá redefiniendo tal punto.
Todos hemos de pasar por túneles donde somos nosotros quienes encendemos las luces para poder salir de el. Bien decía el gran Freud "He sido un hombre afortunado; en la vida nada me ha sido fácil". Nosotros preparemos el terreno que creamos que tengamos que preparar, y lo que allí se construya será lo único que se debió haber construido. Confiemos y solo crezcamos como seres que cada vez más agradecemos el vivir experiencias que aunque muchas veces nos parezcan incorrectas, son las acertadas. Podemos ser como Girasoles, siempre en búsqueda del Sol.

Let's stop envying, coveting other people's lives and situations, let's look around and just be grateful for each of the roads that we have to travel. It is impossible for the balance of happiness to tip in favor of skin color, social status, educational attainment, or any other label that we have invented. Opportunities appear when they should appear, we can only learn to wait for them and take them.
The intensity or level of happiness that we can achieve is exactly the same for everyone. Let us not judge the concept of "Bliss" that others have, some reach that peak of plenitude by being with the family, others at the end of a work or academic project and perhaps another group by becoming a creditor of a material asset. Only time will redefine that point.
We all have to go through tunnels where we are the ones who turn on the lights to get out of it. Well said the great Freud **"I have been a lucky man; in life nothing has been easy"**. Let us prepare the ground that we think we have to prepare, and what is built there will be the only thing that should have been built. Let us trust and only grow as beings that increasingly appreciate living experiences that, although many times they seem wrong, are the right ones.We can be like Sunflowers, always in search of the Sun.

Honestly for me we just can't help it. I mean envying others and comparing their lives to ours. We are just human. We have this stupid thing called emotions. I'm not trying to say that it can't be done but it takes a lot of discipline and self reflection to do. I have partially done it so I know. That is why I said that we can't help it. That is part of what makes us human.
As you said gratitude is one of the keys to achieve that and also contentment. Most people are not contented with what they have that is why they envy others. It's hard to stay contented when you have no gratitude. These two come hand in hand to have a happy life. Well this is what I believe to be so. As you said We are all different as have our own roads to follow.

Excelente post todos tenemos una luz interior que es capaz de irradiar a muchos otros a pesar de que no la perciban,pero alli esta para las mentes abiertas que si son capaces aceptar su existencia.
