Last December i resigned from my 1 year 8 months job,on the last day of work which was December 31 i said goodbye to one of the office gardeners and unknowingly to him it was one of those days we would meet again .
A week had passed and he didn't see me ,he then called
Him : Madam ,how are you i haven't seen you this passed week
Me : i thought i said goodbye to you,i stopped working and with another company now
Him : oh madam i will miss you
Me : i will miss you too
Since January he has called me thrice now the third which was yesterday and this time around i told him i would call him next to check up on him because he has been consistent.
Aside from him three drivers have called to check up on me and one physically came to my home to see how i was doing.
Their kind gesture has really made me realize we at times value the people we feel are of the same class as us and undervalue cleaners or drivers in the workspace.
Non of the people i interacted with have called like these men have.
The Gardner and the drivers proved i must have shown them they are relevant to me and am greatful they saw a friend in me.
Let us all be kind to everyone in the workspace regardless of their position, you never know who will value you till you leave that place.
Everyone is relevant!!!!
