People from developing countries should have a pragmatic and multi-pronged approach to investing in cryptocurrency. There's the big names like Bitcoin ($BTC), Tezos ($XTZ), Solana ($SOL) and Ethereum ($ETH) as well as many other ERC-20 tokens that can be found on EVM chains. But there are also some chains and tokens that may be very lucrative and useful for any investor, but especially anyone from the developing world.

The HIve blockchain ($HIVE and $HBD) allows content creators to fairly monetize their content and easily earn for providing value to the Hive network. The two-token system gives Hive users the ability to hold a token with a more speculatory value ($HIVE) and a stablecoin that does an great job at maintaining it's value. Alternatively, the Steem blockchain ($STEEM and $SBD) from which Hive forked also provides a similar value for those who aren't concerned with using a centralized platform. Blurt ($BLURT) is also something similar, but I have never personally used it.

Chia ($XCH) is one of the greenest blockhains that offers low-fee transactions, reliable performance and a high level of decentralization. The Chia blockchain is newer than Ethereum and lacks the robust DeFi and NFT ecosystem of the latter but offers a promising alternative from a strong team.

OlympusDAO ($OHM) is an Ethereum based DAO with its' own reserve currency that has done exceedingly well maintaining it's value, especially through the volatility of this bear market.

And finally, there's CultDAO and the upcoming zkEVM, Modulus. Both are powered by $CULT, a hyper-deflationary ERC-20 token whose primary use is feeding the CultDAO treasury, which acts as a decentralized venture capital fund for revolutionary projects. There is also the $RVLT token which is paid out to users for "Acts of Revolt". The CultDAO is unique and I personally look forward to seeing how Modulus plays out.

There are many interesting cryptocurrencies throughout web3 but I believe these are a few interesting picks that have a lot of potential for aiding the economic issues faced by many in developing countries.
