So, there is a new account on x.com claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto. They go by @NakamotoGov, and they have the grey checkmarks that X gives to official government accounts.
The account is faceless with a few cryptic messages that will surely get the attention of some bitcoiners, but I have my doubts that this is the real Sat Man himself. This seems to be some real Craig Wrightish activity to me.
I've been noticing people using the Satoshi Nakamoto name as a brand lately to sell t-shirts and other merch to people who aren't even into bitcoin or any other cryptos.
It's an interesting strategy, and I think that might be what's going on with this account. I feel like whoever is behind this account is just seeking to gain internet fame or be some kind of internet cult leader or something.
I just have a feeling that if Satoshi were to come back, he would be less government-friendly.
But these are just my thoughts on the situation.
- Is this the real originator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto?
- Was Satoshi down with the government the whole time?
- Would Satoshi coming back be a good thing for Bitcoin?
