It is already the 31st day of December, 2024 which is the last day in the year. First, I’m grateful for the fact that I’m alive and well, I’m grateful for all the amazing people in my life and I’m grateful for God’s goodness upon me. This year has been so full of turnarounds for me in different areas of my life and taking out this time to say thank you, it’s the least I can do.
My year started with so many uncertainties but here I am today, at the last day of the year! One thing we have to always know is, today has started already and there is no going back to it once it’s over. If you’ve set your heart to do things that are either good or bad today, just be reminded that it is going to be that way until you leave this earth. And that is why, someone once said, live everyday of your life as if it were your last day on earth because anything you do, will be used either for or against you.
As the earth rotates around the sun, that’s how the age of man keeps depleting and that is why, making the most of the time we get is paramount. Most times we say that the time is moving too fast, well, have you ever noticed that the time just goes in circles? It is us humans that don’t have time, time will always keep moving. And that is why, the moment we procrastinate about something, we only end up hurting ourselves.
Right now, I’m not so happy about some things and that is because I have kept on postponing things that I need to do for things that are not so important and because something is hard for me, I always tend to want to give up but then, I realized that if I don’t give up, I only get better at that thing and that helps me become a better version of myself. Taking the first step towards something for the first time can be really hard and tiring but then, until we take that first step, moving forward is not going to happen.
Truly, in this life, there is time for everything. A time of good things and a time of bad things, we can’t escape it. The only thing that is expected of us, is to just prepare for whatever that comes because it will definitely come. The fact that we know that these things might happen to us shouldn’t be for us to be scared, it should only propel us to value what we have when we have them.
This year was one of the fastest year for me, I don’t know about you but then, I’m really happy of how much God helped me to accomplish so many things. I’m hoping that the coming year will be filled with more accomplishments. I have outlined a few things already and it scares me but then, I believe that with taking those little steps daily and trusting God, it will go a long way in helping me accomplish my goals.
Time is an asset that needs intentional use or else, it might become insufficient and not worth working with. As this coming year begins, my major focus will be to manage my time more wisely. And this is because I know 24 hours is a lot but most times I wish for more and that is the first sign that I haven’t been spending my time wisely. I don’t know about you but as for me, I’m saying no to the “24 hours is not enough” phrase because it is just enough if only we can use our time wisely.
