One of the animals i found fascinating is the snails! Maybe not so common kind of animals, not the one you keep as a pet, you might say unlike the cats, dogs and the likes but its still very much lovely seeing snails right in the yard.

For some of us that do rear snails, i think it comes with different motives, for me apart from the fact that i love nature both plants and livestock, snail provides a meat different from the usual red meat, it meat has no colestrol, so for people watching their weight or has been told to stop eating red meat, snail is a perfect option of meat.

Snails basically feed on green leafs, not only that, plus edible food, but what i discovered recently is that they can so feed on pawpaw fruits and its leafs. So thats what i was doing here, feeding the snails with the pawpaw fruit.

I did cut the pawpaw open and sliced into different sizes..

In the pot, are the egg particles of the snail. One good thing about snail is that that can so lay eggs in hundred giving rise to many snails. Meaning even if you start with few snails in your garden, with time in so little time you can have a whole lot of snails (in hundreds)

I haven't tried snail (yet), mainly because it isn't a regular type of food here and I haven't met anyone cooking it here in Suriname.

I felt so too, cooked snail is found on rare occasions too... If you eventually come across it, I would advise you try it out.

Snail meat takes really amazing. Sad thing that it's a taboo yo eat them in some parts of my country.
