Hola, estimados amigos lectores. Una vez más gracias a todos por la visita a este espacio donde semanalmente compartimos experiencias y oportunidades de aprendizaje. Hoy voy a desarrollar el tema sobre la lectura, porque considero que es inagotable, sobre todo cuando desarrollamos parte de sus desviaciones y cómo podemos ayudar a los niños a mejorar. En esta oportunidad voy a comentarles el trabajo con un juego que me ha permitido poner en evidencia el progreso de la rehabilitación de dificultades fonológica, que caracterizan la vía indirecta de acceso a las palabras.
▶Hello, dear reader friends. Once again, thank you all for visiting this space where we share experiences and learning opportunities on a weekly basis. Today I am going to develop the topic of reading, because I consider it inexhaustible, especially when we develop some of its deviations and how we can help children to improve. On this occasion, I am going to tell you about the work with a game that has allowed me to demonstrate the progress of the rehabilitation of phonological difficulties, which characterize the indirect route of access to words.
En la columna anterior decía que actualmente los investigadores que tienen la primacía en el tema sobre el proceso lector, coinciden en que la lectura se realiza mediante dos vías que deberían funcionar en forma alterna, lo que en la literatura especializada son los modelos duales o modelos de doble ruta de acceso al léxico.
Cuando estas vías, directa, por la que identificamos las palabras que ya tenemos en el vocabulario visual de tanto leerlas. Al respecto, F. Cuetos asevera que los normolectores necesitan leer una palabra de 6 a 7 veces para fijarla en la memoria visual de palabras. Y la vía fonológica, por la que decodificamos cada grafema en fonema. Cuando ambas funcionan en forma alterna, tenemos un proceso lector eficiente.
Por el contrario, cuando no es así, hay problemas, que se materializan en un proceso lector ineficiente: lento, con retrocesos; omisiones, sustituciones y trasposiciones de letras, …que es lo que genera los diferentes tipos de dislexia.

Actualmente podemos contar con una gran cantidad de materiales educativos que podemos integrar a la atención psicopedagógica para ayudar a los niños a superar y/o disminuir los problemas fonológicos que le impiden construir un proceso lector eficiente. En esta oportunidad voy a compartir mi experiencia con el Scrabble infantil, un juego que me ha brindado valiosas, variadas y excelentes posibilidades.
El Scrabble infantil es un juego de letras para formar palabras. Su ventaja principal, para el objetivo que me ocupa hoy, es que al tener las letras sueltas, brinda la oportunidad de intercambiar sus posiciones y así en una forma directa, in situ, transformar las palabras según la poción de cada grafema; como este juego está acompañado de imágenes, al leer, el niño puede darse cuenta en forma inmediata que no es la palabra correcta, la que representa al dibujo.
▶Nowadays, we can count on a large number of educational materials that we can integrate into psychopedagogical care to help children overcome and/or reduce the phonological problems that prevent them from building an efficient reading process. On this occasion, I am going to share my experience with Children's Scrabble, a game that has given me valuable, varied and excellent possibilities.
▶Children's Scrabble is a game of letters to form words. Its main advantage, for the objective that concerns me today, is that by having the letters loose, it provides the opportunity to exchange their positions and thus in a direct way, in situ, transform the words according to the position of each grapheme; as this game is accompanied by images, when reading, the child can immediately realize that it is not the correct word, the one that represents the drawing.

Así, tenemos un recurso muy valioso para los niños, ya que su formato de juego y la posibilidad de compartir con otros compañeros, nos coloca en la posición de estimular las zonas próximas de desarrollo Cumpliendo con dos aristas que inequívocamente constituyen características obligadas al trabajar con niños: el juego y el reto al aprendizaje.

He trabajo con niños autistas pequeños que ya tienen una base sobre el aprendizaje del abecedario y algunas combinaciones para formar sílabas; así como también he trabajo con niños más grandes, entre 7 y 9 años, autistas, con atraso del proceso lector lectura. En ambas situaciones el Scrabble infantil se presenta como un recurso valioso y versátil, donde se puede realizar una serie de actividades partiendo de la facilidad para combinar y recombinar letras, de esta forma seguir el rastro fonológico de cada grafema en las diferentes posiciones de la palabra.
▶I have worked with young autistic children who already have a foundation in learning the alphabet and some combinations to form syllables; I have also worked with older children, between 7 and 9 years old, autistic, with a delay in the reading process. In both situations, children's Scrabble is presented as a valuable and versatile resource, where a series of activities can be carried out based on the ease of combining and recombining letters, in this way following the phonological trail of each grapheme in the different positions of the word.
