Though, today I will be reflecting on the topic; Relationship. I understand that the term relationship is broad, on that note I will be focusing on the dating aspect of the relationship. I chose to talk about this topic because I observed that a lot of young guys out there are missing some key factors that makes up a good relationship, which has always cause them troubles and regret on a daily basis. I feel if these common issues are properly addressed and sorted between the partners when dating it will make the relationship a smooth and enjoyable one.Hello everyone. It’s your boy @akwash360 and I’m delighted to share my very first post in the community @Reflection. Though I’ve been reading through different reflection posts in the community for a while now and I must say that I’m inspired and also have an expanded knowledge about life base on the shared experiences in the platform so far and I look forward to engaging in the community as much as I can.
Now, I would like to establish the fact that “relationship” is the commitment of two trusted people who love and cherish each other. Those highlighted words are the key factors I will be building upon, which I feel one needs to put into consideration before thinking of taking a relationship to the next level (marriage). And if your relationship doesn’t revolve around those key factors then I think there is need to pause and have a deep reflection and discussion with your partner as quickly as possible. So, lets gets to digest those factors one after the other;

Commitment: Well, I see commitment as the bedrock or foundation for any successful relationship. And the commitment must not be one-sided else there will always be a problem. Over the years I’ve come in contact with friends who always complain of doing all this and that in a relationship while the other person seems not to be bothered. If only you can see the anger in their face. It shows that they are hurt from within even though they tend to keep it away from their partners most times. Therefore, for a relationship to succeed the commitment must come from both sides

Trust: This is also a key factor we need to build and protect at all cost. I don’t think anyone will like to be with someone he or she doesn’t trust. In fact, love is developed as a result of the trust you have for that person. That is why people get jealous got fed up with the relationship when trust issues begins to come to play.

Love/Cherish: I would like to merge the two factors because they both work hand in hand. If you love someone then you must cherish that person as well. And if you cherish a person then loving him or her shouldn’t be a problem at all. I am yet to see a person who is in a serious relationship with someone he/she did not love and cherish. Even if there is such a person then I can tell that the relationship will not last because love plays a vital role when it comes to relationship
These are my reflections on the matters of a successful relationship and I hope this will help strengthen and maintain a relationship which may eventually transit to marriage.
