Could I Be Addicted to Caribbean Life?

in Reflections9 days ago

After spending years in the busy city of New york and i decided to visit Jamaica for more opportunities and this was because my friend had family back there and the lifestyle over there is not much difference from my home land in puetro rico, the main difference is that Jamaica is surrounded by the Caribbean Sea which gives it beautiful beaches and ocean views unlike my home town.... Coming to start a life here alone would have been more difficult if i didn't have the support of my family friends.

My first two weeks over here was surprisingly very easy and i had no issues with my health and my skin and I’m starting to wonder if it is because i am addicted to Caribbean life like it was back where i grew up from the warm sun, the calming sound of the waves hitting each other and the unbothered lifestyle of everyone here, they are just basically living their lives without interrupting others.

My routine here are very simple and the first thing i always notice is thewaking up to the sight of the sun rising over the lush green hills.

Instead of alarms and city traffic or the distubance of my neighbos waking me up very early, over here i wake up to birds sounds and the soft rustling of palm trees and the mornings here feel slower, more peaceful, and I can actually take the time to enjoy them, it basically looks like I'm in a cinema watching everything unfolds and it's always feels awesome every single morning.... Waking up without being stressed.

The one thing i fell in love with over here is the easy access to beaches and there are like 3 beaches i currently know over here and the one which i visit often is beach which is very close to my friends family house and she get to see her family everytime we visit there

Living so close to the beach is a dream for me and i can't get tired of it because it gives me opportunity to take pictures and semi professional pictures also and when edited, it will come out awesome. The most beautiful thing about living close to a beach is that i can step outside and be near the ocean within minutes..... The is sand is more softer here, i initially thought all beach sand are the same until i visted here.

Some days I just visit the beach and find a spot where people barely go to and all i do throughout is sit and watch the waves roll in and make videos to update my new York friends what they are missing.

There's something I can't do without anytime i find myself visiting a beach and it's one of my favorite things to do which is walk along the shore and pick up beautiful seashell and this is because i make waist beads and it is a means where i make little money for myself and i also model it by myself and my friend takes the picture.

Apart from the whole beach and making beads with the sea shells, there is nothing like the caribbean life when it comes to fresh and natural foods like drinking coconut water straight from the tree, eating fruits, and enjoying meals made with local ingredients, it's easy to get fruit over here and when I want to buy, it's mkre cheaper than i expected and thsi helps to save a lot of money.

Every single day I spend here makes me feel more connected to this way of life and it's slow pace environment is very suitable for me and can't forget the natural beauty and also the friendly people here makes me wish i was given birth to over here.

So could I be addicted to Caribbean life?.... It might be true and honestly for me, I don't think i want to break free from this particular addiction.

All good @artsyn! You're a real Hive pro! Onward to that new goal!

beautiful 😍

As someone who is from a warm country but lives in a cold country, I think the health and skin was definitely better in the warmth! I reckon the diet is different too, plus the air quality, and the relaxed nature of beach life - it has to be healthier, right?

completely agree....There is something about the warmth, the fresh air, and the slower pace of life that just feels so good for the body and mind..... My skin is definitely thriving here, and I feel more relaxed overall. The diet also plays a bigger role from fresh fruits, seafood, and all the natural goodness. It really does feel like a healthier way of living or I will say it feels like a better or healthier way if living from where I was living before.
