I don't like to ask for help, but it is often needed. And I love to help as much as I can and I know how to do or just with words and if something is not there I investigate it to give more support to those who ask me for it.

The satisfaction in helping is very great.

Yes, I have needed help and I have been given it, both when I was a child and lately. Especially in very difficult situations and to feel that someone is thinking of you is beautiful.

How do you handle it when someone asks for help but does not deserve it or you know the help you render won't help them in the long term? (Many people ask for help out of laziness.)

That's exactly what happened to me two days ago hahaha but it was a blatant request for help, with diplomacy and good manners I helped him but in the right way.
Maybe I help with a suggestion, a point of view or present options that the person probably doesn't see. Then he is free to choose
