RE: Personal Projects?

in Reflections2 months ago

Taraz, the problem is that the social network is part of the society and the society is full of lot of good people who care for the society and themselves; but there are also some people that only care about themselves. Even worse, sometimes they will go to great length to find personal gain at others demise! That is social evil.

We being a social network, we are not immune to this disease. We have seen this in our little corner of the internet over and over again. Each time community fought back. It took effort and losses, but we survived. Many other projects didn't.

We keep fighting the good fight, Taraz. We never give up.

My stake is here, and it will be here. If I am the last person here to turn off the lights, that would be me. Obviously I hope that day will never arrive.

I read up on this issue and not just this post, but posts by Marky and Curamax and I now understand what you were talking about.

I am all for using the latest technology and AI, but using AI to create an illusion of a social network is not what I had in mind... Many of us have unsupported the return proposal when Splinterlands was trying to get funded, I think having Splinterlands community support the return proposal now might be a good idea...

I can't ask you how you vote. Also I do not have any vested interest in whether Leo proposal get funded or not. I only care what is good financial discipline for hive community as a hive stakeholder. If they are requesting for my vote, they have to ask nicely! Not calling me stupid for running a data analysis.

That will get them in my bad books and there is never any exit out of that! :)

Again, I can't ask you or anyone how you/they vote. However, I have made my thinking visible. I am here for a long time and I know what is good for me AND the community. I have voted the return proposal.

I hope that day never arrives as well. I would love to have the kind of place that in ten years from now, my daughter will take part also on one of the many other interfaces and experiences, doing something cooler than today :)
