I fell from a tree I was climbing when I was maybe 9 years old; fell some 8m, hit a (rotten) branch on the way down and landed on my back. I was (technically) dead for maybe 6-7 minutes before the emergency team revived me. It was a long time ago, so I don't remember it clearly, but I do remember that (1) I did not perceive being dead and (2) time inside the experience meant nothing, it felt like days might have passed. It was unusual, to be sure.
Ever since then I experience having more of a "sixth sense;" feeling like there is someone/something nearby when there is not... and sometimes knowing before it happens to step away from a possibly dangerous situation.
What an interesting story. You could say it's a real “miracle” that you survived that fall.... The closest thing I have is that I wasn't walking yet, and I was walking around my grandmother's house in one of her wheeled walkers. One day, when she was distracted for a while, I went to the end of the corridor that led to the backyard, and went down the stairs sitting on the walker. At the bottom of the stairs there were two stones high up. They were about half a meter apart. My head was between them, after the walker turned when it reached the end of the flight of stairs. If the stones had been closer together, we wouldn't be talking here today.
But that wasn't the magnitude of your experience, obviously!
Thanks for the interesting sharing, friend!
