RE: Thoughts and photos from a plane

You should try the 16 hour flight between Detroit and Japan. Fun times...

Well... back when Delta serviced Nagoya. Last year they scraped that 30+ year line (it was Northwest before Delta bought them) for some crazy reason, so making my only option a less convenient layover to Tokyo. Delta also started moving their hub out of Asia completely, so maybe they are leaving the area? That seems nuts, especially after they were the major player in that area for so many years. I suppose I'll move to JAL or ANA maybe. They have much much better service than any US airline, but are more expensive. I think ANA goes direct to Chicago, so that may be my new route.

Anyway, I like flying. I do always get just a little nervous when the go in for the landing. You know that moment when they cut engines and are just hovering there then point the nose down and you can just feel it in your stomach as you start to decent. Other than that, I don't mind it.

Great photos!

Yes, I was originally a faithful Northwest customer before the moved over to Delta. I don't even want to think about a 16 hour flight! Do they cram you in just as tightly? I'm not claustrophobic, but I'm getting anxious just talking about it.
