RE: Touch of an Expert

Welcome back and STAY WITH IT ... you will do well if you are faithful on Hive in the coming year!

A couple of tips to develop your photography skills ... your eye develops as you take more photos. Take five of everything, then look at them. You will notice that as you take five photos, you will make adjustments or see the best of the adjustments you have made after the fact.

  1. You will notice which of your photos is least blurry, and you will think about what you adjusted to get that picture to be better than the rest

  2. You will notice which of your pictures is the most straight in terms of not being tilted, and you will think about what you did to get that picture will be better than the rest

  3. You will start to notice what you want to center in your pictures, and different ways of doing that

  4. You will notice what pictures make the most sense to you, and start to develop a style

Take five photos of everything! Pick out the best one, and understand why it is the best, and go take even more photos using what you learned, and repeat the process. Professional photographers often take at least 2-3 photos of the same scene, so starting with five is not far away!
