Too Hot to Think of a Title

The nice thing of having started this new account, less than a month ago, is that it feels (more) okay to share at a random interval, which is very much me.

What is lessnice is thatmy laptop's spacebar suddenly seemsto have issues.

not kidding

Also,the heat...

😓

I am struggling a bit today

and it all started with having a little too much alcohol and caffeine last night. It was fun though, 7 hours spent with a good friend and a friend of this friend, visiting from The Netherlands.

We or mainly I talked quite a lot about Bitcoin, as this guy seems to hold some since 2017 but although he has a decent job, he has never bought any more sats, ever since. He clearly has not been willing to do the research. As he has two young kids, I tried to explain that it might make their future easier if he bought a bit more but people are stubborn.

Anyhow, beer, beer, fish and chips, white wine, dessert and coffee plus more beer at my friend's home before I walked home through the finally enjoyable coolish night, temperature wise.

I arrived at my place half an hour later and with 1 percent battery life left on my phone that I had to use as a torch ( see picture ).

There's no street lights where I live and there's only a handful of houses along the off-road dirt track that I must follow for 15 to 20 minutes, when coming from the nearest village ( where my friend lives ).

Also, my closest neighbor lives 5 minutes away, so the bit of possible light coming from the houses, along the track, doesn't help much either.

Anyhow, I made it home and after falling asleep late ( due to caffeine, alcohol and the heat ) and waking up earlyish, I forced myself to walk into the village, again and have one coffee, loads of water and a ham and cheese toastie.

I needed some groceries and I needed the exercise.

The rest of the day I felt pretty exhausted, drained, hot, etc. but, as per usual, I managed to turn things around, again, super quickly and all is well again ;<)

I will leave you now with a picture of the long dirt track from my house connecting to villages or a village and a hamlet with my house practically in the middle. This photo was taken this morning on my way to get coffee, a toastie and some groceries.

I am sweating again, while typing this, getting rid of the last bit of alcohol, I guess.

Tomorrow is another day. Another change coming up. I am about to head to my twin sister's place, where I will be house-, land- and cat sitting for a little over a week, before I go on holidays myself and meet her and her family in The Netherlands in a day or 10 from now.

I hope you enjoyed this un-creative insight in a (night and a ) day in the life of a creative ;>)

TO BE CONVINUED...

Sounds like you had a great time! I rarely drink alcohol so when I do, I instantly feel hungover even from 1 or 2 drinks the next day, lol. With this heat, I don't find it much appealing to deal with that though.

Such a road would freak me out if I didn't have any light. You should get yourself a good pocket light, we bought a really good one recently on Ali, it was just around 30 euros and when my bf went to test it outside, I could see the light flashes up here in the sky (we live on a high floor) and I was like "was that you?" and afraid he'd get in trouble for testing it outside, lol.

I reckon you could really use one of these for these walks in the dark. Thanks for sharing the tostie, now I'm considering making one lol.

Un abrazo!

Lovely post Vincent! I love walking home in the dark, and when I get my next home, it'll be more like that: a good long night walk home from friends'! 💝🥂😎

PS I really like your (non) title ☺️🤗😁

Haha! Thank you. It took me a while to come up with this.one ;^)

and when I get my next home, it'll be more like that: a good long night walk home from friends'! 💝🥂😎

Sounds like a plan!✨

P.S. Walking home in the countryside is so different from walking home in a city.

It sure is: I so miss walking home in the country... On my island, it was the best thing, the long walk from the pub in the next village, back up the hill - best way to avoid a hangover in fact 😇 I always loved using natural darkness to train my eyes and senses; never used a torch. I'd like to get back to that ....
