RE: Bad Coffee and Ring Health

Do you think you would care as much without the fitbit?

I wouldn't care at all without the Fitbit. It wasn't something I even considered, although I know I was relatively active since I walk to work and public transport everywhere I go in NYC. But once I saw that Hive had incentives to reward me for tracking my daily activity, I was sold. I specifically got a Fitbit for its app integration with actifit!

In fact, knowing I get those elevated step counts for daily activity provides me some level of excuse to not push myself to do more rigorous workouts, calisthenics, weight training, etc. I think to myself that if I'm getting my 10K steps, do I really need to make time to stretch or to throw some kettlebells around?

And with actifit, I view those entries more as a daily journal than simply tracking my activity for the day. I like flipping through my gallery to find an eye-catching picture or two and it also lets me upload screenshots of my Fitbit data so I can see my stats and peak activity time each day. It is a fun habit, although my daily writing is much less structured than yours. Typically when I make my reports, it's 11:30pm and I'm furiously typing away on my phone to submit the report before the midnight cutoff erases the record of my previous day's step count.

Long live the Fitbit!
