The Price of Disloyalty
What a terrible feeling it is when the person in whom you have placed your trust, your affection and all your love betrays you, what a feeling of rage and helplessness you feel when the person who has been with you all your life is unfaithful, it is a feeling of disloyalty that hardly heals, it is an open wound so difficult to heal that changes your life in a matter of seconds.
I never imagined that a voice note would change my life completely, I had only been married for three years, my husband was the most spectacular man I could have known, a wonderful lover, his treatment was unique, every now and then he would surprise me with a detail, and incredibly he never put a password to his cell phone, I even bragged to my friends about this man, I used to tell them "I hit the jackpot with Alberto".
That afternoon my husband invited me to the movies because the day before he had been on call at the hospital and wanted to make up for the time he had not been with me, he used to say: **you have to strengthen the bonds of the couple until you reach old age I always smiled I gave him a kiss on the cheek and went on.
My husband did his best not to run over her but in the maneuver our vehicle hit a tree, it was a desperate moment, he was unconscious and although I was fully conscious I felt dizzy, when I reacted my husband's phone had fallen on my dress so I immediately called 911 while trying to control the blood on his forehead.
At that moment a voice message came in, I still remember the name as if it was yesterday, Aixa was her name, unconsciously as if it was my phone I heard a voice saying **Alberto my love, you gave me the most wonderful night of my life, your lips ran all over my body and I still feel your breath on my little flower, please, when you come back from the movies I'll be waiting for you in our secret place. When I finished listening to this voice note I felt a pain in my gut I think I also felt disgust, revulsion, frustration and anger, I wanted to die internally I wanted to die, I don't know if it was because of the impotence of the note I heard or because of the accident but I fainted.
The next day I was discharged, on the stretcher on the right side was my husband being attended by a nurse, suddenly the doctor came in and said: "Aixa...the patients are discharged, they are out of danger".
The pain Alberto caused me was not compared to the accident, this betrayal or disloyalty destroyed me for a long time, I remember that I took his phone and left without saying a word. I didn't answer a single one of his calls, I went home, took my belongings, packed my suitcase and left. A month later I sent an envelope with the divorce complaint, and inside the envelope her cell phone and some words that said: "don't ask me why... listen to the voice note that Aixa sent you, there is the reason, I just leave you my last words I could have forgiven you everything but the disloyalty".
