Thanks mate. All of my stuff isn't innovative, overly clever or groundbreaking...it's just stuff i thing all leader (managers) should be doing and so I do it. The sad reality is (as you say) it's not done. That's through laziness, hubris, carelessness or cluelessness and sometimes do to higher-ups not supporting such endeavours. It's always worked well for man reasons and when it doesn't it's usually identified other issues like the wrong people within the team, and that has benefits as well...and can be addressed.
