would have suggested silencing the phone, or moving it away altogether.
As I said in the post, the phone went unanswered and messages unchecked. I never have my phone volume on and always put it face down so I don't see it ringing...I just didn't think I'd need to clarify those precise things in this post as it seemed superfluous to the main theme and topic so didn't bother to mention what I do with my phone and where it is when I'm spending time detaching from everything.
