These days, I was at a graduation ceremony at the university where I work a few years ago, I saw myself for a few hours surrounded by fame and recognition, by the graduates and some colleagues, however, instead of focusing only on my own success, I dedicated myself to applauding, with my soul, the triumph of my other colleagues and that made me think about friendship.
In my view of things, a genuine friend always holds us when we are on top and stops us when we are rolling downhill, he does not see us as competition.
Because many times the falls are not the ones that hurt, what really wears is the loneliness of falling without anyone to stop us. And that's the kind of friendship that I recognize: the one that doesn't let you roll around uncontrollably, the one that holds you up, that's there to remind you that not everything is always upward, and that, above all, is able to tell you a few truths, so I know that you're going to get upset.
True friendship is celebrated in every victory and sustained in every fall. He sees us as an extension of himself, enjoying each of his achievements as if they were his own, because he knows that it's not about who shines the brightest, but about how together they can accompany each other on their own paths.
The real truth is that a real friend has the wisdom to know when to shut up, when to listen to you, and most importantly, when to slow you down before you keep falling downhill.
And what are they celebrating us for?
And if we don't have someone like that, would we dare to be that friend for others? Because, in the end, it's not just about what we receive, but how we become what others need.
I have seen how love makes terrains of suffering and storms bloom, how love and friendship gives security to the most distrustful person, and how it builds and molds the broken heart 💔

A friend honestly expresses his emotions and is able to criticize without mercy, always with good intention.
The friend not only applauds us, he also makes us see how wrong we can be. In the end, we decided what to do. The truth is that we all need friends to celebrate us and accompany us.
