I was like "hey we don't even like each other, why are we doing this?"
A lot of the "tension" comes from the fact that we never get to see each other. Conflicting schedules and waaaaay overbooked on my end. Whenever we do spend time together we get along alright.
She's still stubborn though (as am I).
Every time one of our kids are being a demon I say, "man, they're acting just like you right now."
Haha, I dunno, sounds like healthy conflict to me - other than the 'never get to see each other' part. I suppose if it's temporary and necessary for a year or handful, its ok. But wouldn't want it to become the status quo.
Traditionally marriage is really a pledge of commitment to your children so, you got that much right!
I have never actually heard that before. It's temporary in theory. Seems like it's taking longer than has supposed to. In any case, I'm happy for you man. I wish you and the soon to be wife many good years together.
