The hard part of feeling

in Reflections3 days ago

When life reveals the path to love, we feel so ecstatic that realizing it’s not mutual is often quite difficult. The challenge of feeling lies in this: you only start noticing the details when it’s already too late, after you’ve given every last piece of your heart to someone incapable of understanding or valuing the true meaning of loyalty.

We lay all our cards on the table, offering everything to the person we believe is ideal, only to later grasp that our feelings aren’t returned. Over the time you’ve invested, you end up losing what matters most: your dignity.

The hardest part of feeling is that the heart aches in a way that’s unique, deep, and faded—a pain where every detail serves to deny the harsh truth that, in the end, we aren’t loved back.

The worst part is that we convince ourselves we’re to blame or that we somehow lost our way, when the truth is there was never a path to begin with. We crave any scrap of attention and, in our anguish, settle for so little that we keep missing chances to find the true journey meant for us.

To you, who feels the sting of losing something you never truly had, remember this: not everyone can see our real worth. Some judge us, humiliate us, hide us, or reject us, reducing us to a whisper of who we really are, almost without us noticing. Don’t overlook the signs—those who truly love and value you won’t wait for you to seek their affection. Though feeling may be complicated, they’ll reciprocate in ways that erase every doubt, proving that even when it’s hard to feel, what matters is to keep trying.
