Hey, Hivers! It's me, @makiyumee and I am back here again with another blog to share! For today's blog, it will be about my reflections regarding my journey as a 4th year college student throughout the first semester.
The year 2024 welcomed me with many challenges, testing me in different areas of my life. There were moments when I struggled with my health, worried about finances, faced pressures in my studies, and dealt with issues within my family. Each of these challenges felt heavy at times, and there were days when it was hard to keep going. But even during those difficult moments, I reminded myself not to give up. I chose to stand strong and stay focused, holding onto the belief that I could overcome every obstacle in my way. I kept pushing forward, determined to face each challenge with courage and strength.
It wasn’t easy, but I kept my head held high and tried my best to find solutions to the problems I encountered. I learned to take things one step at a time, knowing that small progress is still progress. These challenges taught me to be more patient, resourceful, and resilient. Looking back, I feel proud of how I faced those tough times and kept moving forward despite the difficulties. At first, I thought that the challenges I was facing would be too much to handle. I felt unsure if I could get through everything and worried that it might be too overwhelming. But as time passed, I realized that I was wrong. It turns out that even the toughest situations can become bearable when you have the right support.
Having my family by my side made a big difference. Their love and encouragement gave me the strength to keep going, even when I felt tired or unsure. My friends were also there for me, always ready to cheer me up and remind me that I wasn’t alone in my struggles. Their words and actions helped lighten the load and made me feel stronger. Above all, keeping God at the center of my life gave me peace and hope. I found comfort in praying and trusting that everything would work out in the end. With faith, I felt guided and supported, knowing that I wasn’t carrying the burden alone.
Looking back, I realize that having family, friends, and faith makes all the difference. They give us the strength and courage to face life’s challenges, and with their support, we can overcome anything that comes our way. Every class I attended each day never failed to give me goosebumps. Even though I always came prepared, there was always a lingering feeling of anxiety and fear inside me.
I worried about how I would perform and whether I would meet the expectations of my teachers. The thought of not being the best in their eyes haunted me constantly. I wanted to excel so badly that it sometimes made me doubt myself, even if I had put in a lot of effort. But as time passed, I started to realize something important. I don’t always have to be the best in everything I do. What truly matters is that I give my best effort and try my hardest in every task. I learned that it’s okay not to be perfect, as long as I can say to myself that I worked hard and did my best.
This realization helped ease my worries and allowed me to focus more on learning and growing, rather than just aiming to please others. It gave me a sense of peace, knowing that as long as I put my heart into everything I do, I could walk away without regrets, no matter the outcome. Throughout this journey, before I begin another chapter in my life, which would be my internship, I had the chance to meet many different teachers along the way. Each of them had their own unique teaching styles, and each left a mark on me in their own way.
Some of my teachers were strict, and their approach sometimes felt challenging, but I now realize how much they have taught me. Their lessons weren’t just about the subjects they handled but also about life. They always made sure to give me and my classmates something valuable to remember—whether it was a skill, a piece of advice, or a lesson we could carry with us forever.
On the other hand, there were teachers who were gentle and kind, never failing to share their knowledge with us in ways that were both inspiring and encouraging. These teachers made learning feel enjoyable and showed genuine care for us, not just as students but also as individuals. They motivated us to do our best while making sure we felt supported and appreciated.
Looking back, I feel grateful to have experienced such a variety of teaching styles. Each teacher, whether strict or nurturing, has shaped me into who I am today and prepared me for the next step of my journey. Their dedication and passion for teaching have been a guiding light for me, and I will carry the lessons they have taught me as I move forward into my internship and beyond.
This journey has taught me many important lessons, not only about my course but also about life. Every lesson I’ve learned holds a deep meaning and has shaped me into the person I am today. These lessons have shown me the value of hard work, perseverance, and staying positive even during tough times. They have also reminded me of the importance of having supportive people around me, like my family, friends, teachers, and even classmates.
As I prepare for what lies ahead, I am grateful for this journey and the opportunities it has given me to learn and grow. With all these lessons in my heart, I feel ready to take the next step and face the future with hope and determination. This is not the end but the beginning of a new adventure, and I am excited to see where the road will take me.
That would be all for today and I hope that you had fun reading this blog. I'll see you all on the next one!
Leaning and growing, that's the motto. Never live for pleasing others but yourself.
