RE: Average Stupidity

in Reflections8 months ago

I really like the first part. It is a constant joke if someone [usually the guy] is punching above their weight. When they bring their girlfriend, people would always say to protect her head, and make her wear a helmet at all times. The guy wouldn't want her hitting her head and realizing her mistake.

I used to do those tests when I was younger, but I felt like they weren't very accurate. The result is usually above average, and one needs to sign up to get more in depth details about their results.

I have never done one of these I think. But look at the marketing scam in that - everyone I know who has done one has got "above average" so is it a selection bias on who takes the tests and who I know (and have talked about it with), or is it a marketing ploy to get people to sign up and pay?

Since your wife is certified, and seems to be more knowledgeable, it might be better to ask her. For me, I think it is a marketing ploy. I don't think I've met anyone who had below average results, although if they did, I doubt they would share it haha. If they are able to make millions of people pay for it, then that's a win for them. At the very least, they now have your email, which they can sell to other sites [I stopped doing these because I got spam emails.].
