RE: Thoughts and photos from a plane

in Reflectionslast year

I've done my share of flying. Been trans-Atlantic many times and done UK to Australia as well as lots within Europe. I don't get stressed about it, but all the waiting around and then being confined to a chair for hours are tedious. I do remember when people could still smoke on planes. I ended up in the smoking section once and it was bad. I'm trying to minimise my flying these days as I don't need to do it for work.

I don't blame you for that. I can't imagine what it must have been like to be in a plane with smoking. I think if they made the seats bigger, I wouldn't mind so much. Of course then they would likely have to increase the costs even more.

I have been upgraded to business a few times and that's a better experience.

Do you know if economy on the trans-atlantic flights is just as tight as it is on the domestic flights?

I suspect so. There may be a minimum seat size and they will try to cram in as many people as possible.

I once got flown Singapore Airlines business class to Singapore. That will have been my most luxurious flight. There was a spare seat next to me, but nearby was a whole family with two kids. That would be an expensive flight, but it's nothing for the super rich. Maybe when $HIVE moons I can life the high life :)

If Hive moons I am just going to rent a private jet to go wherever I want! :)

Ah, but that is really wasteful. I just couldn't.

I'd do it at least once so I could say I did.
