With regard to violent crime, we are among the countries with the lowest rates in Europe.
What do you think lowers it? Does it have to do with the decriminalisation of drugs?

Good evening, Taraz. In order to answer the question you posed here with some propriety, I did a little research into the official data. Portugal appears, as I thought, among the safest countries in the world, occupying 7th place in the 2024 Global Peace Index global security ranking. I don't think the decriminalization of soft drug use will have the greatest impact, but it could certainly contribute. The public security forces, despite not having all the ideal professional conditions, have a level of influence on the population that seems to be good. Of course, there are neighborhoods and parts of cities that are more dangerous, just like anywhere else in the world. But I can even share the latest report here, which can be found at this link.
I liked the way you approached the subject, and I think I'm going to take that as my starting point, and one day reflect on the living conditions in my country.
Have a good weekend
