Mountains outside my window, no matter what window I look out. But mind you, I only have 4 windows in my truck, with one being very small as well. But I am surrounded by them, where I live. Where I have now been parked up for almost a year and a half now. This place I call home, for now anyhow. It is for sale, so I have no idea how long I will be here. It's meant that I have not put too much energy into setting the place up.
I have so many ideas of what I could do. But I have no idea how much longer we will be parked up here. Plus I'm quite busy with work and also with my girls, so I don't really have the energy or time. Throw in the heat of the summer and well, I have enough to be dealing with. So it's getting up early, working, then resting when it's super hot. Then catch up with things at home in the evening, plus a bit of watering here and there.
But the mountains, they are always there, surrounding me and my girls. I love to see them, to feel their presence. You want to be humbled, then get out into the mountains. They are a wonderful place to be, if you wish to put things in perspective. To stay grounded. Then there is the shape of them, the curves. These mountains are quite bare in places , so you can see their contours clearly. That beautiful shape of them. There are villages up on some of them. Which light up, so beautifully at night. All this life around me, yet I feel quite tucked away.
Down the end of a run, not too far from the river and tucked in nicely, by the mountains that frame my sky.
What I want more than anything, is my own little piece of land, that I can care for. Land, that I know me and my girls could live on indefinitely. Where I could really make it beautiful, grow all the food, that I want. Land with trees and water. I always thought That I wanted a huge piece of land, for all the projects I wanted. But these past months as I have been taking care of other people's land, I've realised how I much work it takes, to care for a piece of land, to really understand what it takes to look after that land, so that it in turn could look after me and my girls.
It's all stepping stones, that I do know. But I can't wait, literally I can't wait anymore. I want me and my girls to put some solid roots down, so we can finally make a beautiful home for ourselves. I feel like I have been patient enough, I am ready for my dreams to become a reality.

Beautiful area that you're in. Where are you looking at putting down roots? I also love the view of mountains - or in our case, a volcano. It's always beautiful.
