We are all actors.
Whether we want to admit it or not. Even a three-year-old child is an actor in a way. Even though they're not in pain or hungry, sometimes they cry just to get their parents' attention.
But is it really so harmful or deleterious to be an actor? Isn't it part of our inherent existence? Imagine what it would be like if we acted the same way with our best friend as we do with our superior? It really wouldn't be desirable, or even remotely understandable, from any angle.
But the real question I think we should ask ourselves is whether we're being good actors, or whether we're actually playing the part of someone who has nothing to do with our beliefs.
Looking at the international political situation, every day we see meetings and gatherings between the most diverse political and social representatives from various countries. At the end of the day, they are also representing... But they end up doing so somewhat arbitrarily. When that representation or demonstration of intent changes from hour to hour, according to the intentions and even the position and political ideal of the speaker they are in front of, or to whom they want to address the message.
Is it all worth it?
Aren't we quickly and abruptly handing over command of our nations to unscrupulous people who can only look out for their own good and not look out for the true interests of their nation and their people?
In the current situation, we see the US moving swiftly towards Russia, using Europe as a pawn... Who believes that Mr. Putin will respect an established agreement? For him, there are no agreements, it's enough for the existing conditions to make him think, and to create a narrative of an attack on his nation's sovereignty. We already saw this in 2014, before the invasion and takeover of Crimea. And the other political players, afraid of losing more than gaining, let themselves be taken in by this narrative.
Let's not be surprised that the actions and decisions taken will have nothing to do with Ukraine's sovereignty. In a few months' time, Ukraine will be led by a governor who will only have links to the Kremlin and who will be just another puppet president, just like in Belarus.
The Ukrainian people, who have been paying with their lives, will not have a prosperous future, or if they want independence from a totalitarian Russian government. To survive, they will have to beg for support.
It is important for Europe to act. Not that Russia poses a real danger to peoples who want to be more than mere pawns. We already know that. But the United States is trying to split Europe. To divide it. Leave the suspicion that each country must look after its own interests, and deconstruct what has been done so far. The Far Right is gaining strength in the Old Continent day by day. And that will only give Russia more power and make the US prosper. But US prosperity will come at a price. We're already starting to see it... Media outlets that used to be authorized and accredited by the Associated Press Agency.
A new rule has also been established, something that has been in force for almost a hundred years...
The White House is going to give the government control over choosing the journalists who are going to be part of the group of journalists who attend the conferences given at the White House. Isn't this a rather totalitarian form of control?
Are we moving towards a highly politicized journalism?
And we even hear this:
“Because he is the president who has been credited with the best first month in office in history, it is natural for fake books and reports to appear with so-called 'anonymous' or 'off the record' quotes. I will sue some of these dishonest authors and publishers, or even the media in general, to find out if these 'anonymous sources' really exist” - Trump on the ‘Truth Social’ network.
Just this week we heard the American vice president say that several European countries had restricted the right to freedom of expression at the Munich Security Conference. This argument has now been refuted by the British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, who said that the United Kingdom had not, but left other countries “out” of his statements.
It seems that for the time being, Brexit is being advantageous for the Kingdom of Great Britain, as it finds itself in charge of a serious resection, and with customs duties being more lenient with Britain, it opens the door to growth...
A very strange world we live in.... If only we were all a bit better actors, everything would be very different.
Cheers🍀

I haven't heard about this, I hope not 😟 where did this come from?
The priority at the moment is to get Putin off Ukraine's backside and stay off. Europe has been dilly dallying in the past three years, condemnation doesn't do anything, bullies don't care about it. When faced with a bully you can't be a gentleman like Europe. I am not a fan of orange face and I don't trust him but the stalemate has been going on for far too long. I'm sure the Ukranians are exhausted with this long long time ago, and the instability and uncertainty is unhealthy for the rest of the world
This is my darkest fear... Since we have seen the "same" happen in different countries that came out of the former USSR. I hope that this never happen, but seen the movements and the positioning of Putin and Trump, I'm far more inclined to this awfull reality.
... You are so right about it, P :(
Just got back home, and I'm completely shocked with what I have seen that happened couple of hours ago in the White House... That is the type of chaotic and erratic way of acting. What a disrespectful way of talking to a President that always stood no matter what, fighting Russia attacks next to his people. Such a horrific episode of the World Diplomatic History just happened.
It was very difficult to watch, both of them ganging up against him. It was horrible
Absolutely... That stupidity was what I mostly was afraid off. And the message that I was trying to explain in my post. Trump is aligned with Russia. They want to loot Ukraine. Trump, and his administration only values money, and power. So sad, P :\
Volodymyr Zelenskyy was a true HERO, and refused to bend his knee and give everything that they demand him to do!
