Half of happiness is found at home. That’s my principle. If you’re happy with your partner, your children, and your cozy little house, then life feels complete. It’s not the loud kind of happiness, but the quiet, steady one that warms your heart every day.
That’s why I always try to nurture happiness, especially with my wife. She’s the person I see and talk to every single day. If someone has problems with their partner, that unease becomes like a shadow—always there, impossible to escape. But if you’re happy with your partner every day, that happiness becomes like air—always present, effortlessly giving life.
To create this happiness, I don’t do grand things. Just simple, small gestures. For instance, when she’s sweeping the floor or folding clothes, I’ll walk up to her with a glass of water. That’s all. It’s neither expensive nor complicated. But the impact? It’s extraordinary.
Sometimes, I’ll massage her feet when she’s lying down. Small acts of care like this are often more meaningful than expensive gifts—though those have their moments too. But these little attentions, I believe, make her feel truly appreciated.
The result? She’s calmer, smiles more often, and rarely gets upset.
I also make it a point to take her out every now and then, just to eat together. Nothing extravagant—once a week or maybe every two weeks. It’s not about dining in fancy places; what makes it luxurious is the togetherness. Around 7 PM, we’d head out to find a cozy spot where we could eat and just talk, uninterrupted.
This habit extends to the kids too. I often take one of them out at a time, creating special moments with each. During these outings, our conversations grow deeper, more open. What matters most is the bond that strengthens with every shared story, every honest laugh.
And then, there’s the bedtime ritual with my wife. It’s simple, yet profound. Before we sleep, she always says something along the lines of, “Forgive me if I made any mistakes today.”
Hearing her ask for forgiveness—even when it’s often me who’s in the wrong—fills my heart with a quiet comfort. It feels as though peace is slowly descending, wrapping itself around my chest. And in that moment, I realize just how much I love this woman.
After that, it’s my turn. I always thank her—not just for her forgiveness, but for everything she does, big or small. This exchange of words, this little ritual, is what keeps us close. And with that, we drift into sleep, feeling content, connected, and truly blessed.
