RE: Art Talk: Taft Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio

Sara, you're post is perfectly done (as always)!! :) I'm very curious as to why Whistler and Sargent are some of your favorite 19th century artists. Whistler's beginning work reflects are more pre-Raphaelite style which is one of my favorites for it's chivalry, mystery and sort of transcendence I suppose. At one time I had a print of Sargent's Morning Walk as well which of course is more Impressionistic. I was lucky enough to go to Renoir's home outside of Paris many years ago and Sargent's painting reminding me of that visit.

Hope you're having a wonderful day! I truly enjoyed this post so please keep sharing! It's quite an inspiring read and makes me want to take a road trip! :)

Aww thanks so much. I love talking about art and have so much to say about why I like Whistler and Sargent. I will make a post! I looked up Morning Walk. I had never seen it. It is much lighter than the Sargent's I know.

Ohhhh yay!!! :) I can't wait to see the post! I'm so glad you're going to write one!! :)

Oh my it was so great writing about Sargent. I was going to do the post about both Sargent and Whistler and I had so many paintings to share and things to say about Sargent and I got in the zone writing about him. I will do a separate post about Whistler. I have it scheduled to post on Monday. Oh the anticipation...

Wait.. MUHAHAHA .. I got soo excited I raced over to find it, but now I realize maybe you meant your Sargent post is scheduled for Monday and you will write about Whistler another time. :) I thought you meant the Whistler post is scheduled Monday (while your Sargent post was out now). I will make sure to stop by and see it, Sara. I look forward to knowing and understanding what inspires you! :) Have a wonderful weekend!

I want to finish out my Cincinnati posts this week and start on the next trip, that is why the Sargent got slotted for next week.

EEEEK You've written it? (Racing to the post now!)

Did the Whistler post the other day. :)

YIPPPEE!! Just found it! I'm so sorry I haven't written sooner. I was working in lightroom and trying to get a handle on that and I just had to avoid PeakD for a bit. Now that I'm more comfortable with it, I can move from project to project more. :) I hope you're doing well, Sara!

Ha ha. Glad you got a handle on Lightroom! It is one of my favorite programs and I am sure I don't know half of it.

Have you opened packs? I opened 100 of mine! :)
